Golf Cart Access for
Handicap Golfers
Revised September 29, 2008
Ford's Colony Country Club recognizes that
certain members and guests may have physical conditions or
restrictions which may make it difficult or impossible to walk
normally required distances while playing golf.
Therefore, upon application to the Pro Shop,
Handicap Cart privileges may be extended to only those who possess a
handicap-parking DMV issued placard or possess a written medical
doctor’s excuse. A flag will be issued to you for the day you play
which will be attached to the roof of your golf cart.
The following are the golf cart access
situations that will occur:
- When carts are 90 degrees:
- Those carts with handicap flags may
take their cart up to but no closer than 20 yards to the
green and sand bunkers.
- When carts are restricted to the path one
of the two policies below will be enforced:
- Only those carts with handicap flags
may take their cart on to the golf course but must exit at
the cart exit post/sign.
- No carts at all are allowed on the
course including carts with handicap flags.
