CCMA Board Requests Member Contribution For Future Legal Fees/Costs

We have been keeping you informed regarding the status of the Chapter 11 proceedings through regular e-mails from the CCMA. Thus you are aware that we have used the services of an attorney to protect your interests and advise us when action may be needed.

When the proceedings began, the CCMA treasury totaled $6,068. To date, we have been billed for legal services totaling $2,370, which leaves us a balance of $3,698.

Since the formation of the Creditors' Committee and our representation on it, we have not needed the services of the attorney. However, we anticipate that as things proceed, further consultation could be needed to help us evaluate the re-organization plan and its impact on our membership experience. If this becomes necessary, it is important that we have funds in hand.

Since there are no dues required for membership in the CCMA, we are requesting a contribution of $25 per member to enable us to offset the cost of counsel.

Please contribute by sending a check made out to The CCMA and either drop it in the locked box in the computer room, hand deliver it to one of our CCMA Board Members, or mail it to our treasurer, Frank McMorrow, 124 Portland, 23188.

Any excess funds will be refunded at the end of the Chapter 11 process.

Thank you for your help.
